Harbor Point Subic

The last time the family was in Subic (Holy Week 2012), this mall was still under construction. Recently, I heard that it finally opened its doors to the public. We've been going to Subic for many years now and we've seen how this place has developed into what it is now. We used to have a lot of difficulty figuring out where to eat and what to do while there. Not anymore!

Last weekend, we again trooped to our favorite place in the North and I drove by Harbor Point on our first night. I was impressed by what I saw from the outside. I wasn't surprised though. Ayala Malls are always so refreshing, compared to SM Malls (sorry, just my honest opinion). SM Malls are so boxy, no aesthetic value whatsoever. Ayala Malls are so well-planned and well-thought of. You never feel like you're inside a box. Just look at Greenbelt, for instance.

Harbor Point is no exception. Unfortunately, I was too lazy to take photos during our visit so I just grabbed these from Google images

Among the shops that I saw open are

Bench
Payless Shoe Source
National Bookstore
CDR King
Power Mac
Crocs
Shoe Salon
Shoebox
Vans
Penshoppe
Kashieca
Folded 'n Hung
Starbucks
Celine
Speedo
Human
Time Depot
Mendez
Army Navy
TGIFriday's
Sumo Sam (had lunch here)

These other shops will be opening soon

Charles and Keith
Mango (yay!)
La Senza
Michael Antonio
Accessorize
Cache Cache
Call it Spring
Giordano
Guess
Mossimo
Breadtalk
Claw Daddy
Highlands Coffee
Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
Yellow Cab

Plus a lot more, I'm sure. I didn't get to go around the whole mall but I was extremely happy with whatever I got to see. It's spacious and clean, and because of the way it was structured, I don't think you'll ever feel like it's congested, even on a peak day. Loved the clean restrooms and the family lounge too. I'm so glad there's so much more to do in Subic now. Next time we go back, I'm sure everything will be fully-opened.
