Thank you, WANDERS, for a memorable Friday!

When my DF first told me that he had tickets to WANDERS for the whole family, my initial reply was, "What's thaaat?". I had never heard of the show before and didn't have a clue what it was. After postponing the date a couple of times, we finally went tonight and I am so ashamed of myself for not knowing about it much much earlier! Turns out, it's this amazing extravaganza featuring singers, dancers and Chinese acrobats. The best part? It was conceptualized and produced by Filipinos. At first we all thought it was a show brought in from Vegas. That's how good it was!

There was a happy mix of Filipino, Russian and Chinese artists in the show. I especially enjoyed watching the Chinese acrobats. I heard they were gathered from a province in China called Henan, which is considered to be the breeding ground of the world's top gymnastic performers. I totally agree! These people were truly awesome! I can only dream of being able to learn all those tricks they showcased. They bent and twisted their bodies as if they had no bones. I wonder how long my mouth was open?? When it was the boys' turn to show off their stunts, I watched the entire portion with just one eye, so scared that someone might get hurt. The stunts were totally dangerous but they're obviously experts (heck, they probably eat sleep and breathe these tricks).

The show has been running for quite sometime now and although I failed to gather information while I was there, from the looks of it (the auditorium was packed), it may be around for a little while longer. It is staged by PAGCOR PHILIPPINES and is held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm at the PAGCOR Grand Theater, Airport Casino Filipino in Paranaque City. Ticket prices : P3,000, P2,500, P2,000, P1,500, P1,200. You can call (632)852-7758/54 for details or go to TICKETWORLD. Before I forget...don't bring your digicams because they won't be allowed inside, you have to leave them at the reception area. The camera of your cellphone will also be covered with stickers to make sure they're not used during the show.

If you have the time (or the budget), please please take your kids to see this show. The look on their faces will make you forget how much you spent!

P.S. I found this video on YouTube. Go ahead and take a sneak peek!
