Or maybe this is just one of the many reasons. That's cheap labor for services that those in other countries would normally pay an arm and a leg for. In the US for instance, home service massages are only for the rich and famous. My cousins who live in LA don't even get their massages regularly because to them it's more of a luxury.
One of our (that's DH and I) biggest obsessions is getting pampered at home. I personally don't like going to the spa to get a massage. I would hate to get up and have to drive home after. We always get our massages right here at home and usually at 10pm or later so we can just go to sleep after the girls leave.
We used to call on Dial a Masssage which has a Wack Wack branch. But we stopped doing so when we discovered Green Leaf. We now each have a preferred masseuse (Christine for DH and Malou for me) because they already know exactly how we want things done.
For just 250 bucks an hour (we usually go for 2 hours each --- 1 hour is simply not enough ha ha!), how can anyone complain? Our week is never complete without these sessions. They're so addicting!
