When the kids are bored

"We're bored! There's nothing to do!"

This is one of the things that drives parents up the wall. Agree?

For a lot of parents out there, the solution is to either go to the mall or eat out. We sometimes resort to this, too. But after a while, it just gets old, not to mention COSTLY. To avoid having to take this route all the time, we make sure that the girls always have what they need at home to keep them busy.

For Sabine who's only 5 years old, it's stuff that she can use to channel her creative juices and all that pent up energy. We were in Rockwell yesterday and took a trip to National Bookstore to re-stock on these

Finger paint, giant sketch pad, colored markers, colored highlighters and a story book

These can keep her busy for hours on end! The best part is, we end up with so much artwork to keep and add to our growing collection.

As for Anissa who's 15, that's a whole different story. Give her a laptop and her ear plugs and you won't hear from her. She'll even forget to eat!

Sundays are for family. Happy Sunday to all!

  1. I do the same with my son ... I give him art stuff and he goes real quiet ... lately I play jazz and classical music too ... he loves it.

  2. Always works! So much better than putting them in front of the TV.
